Fairy Tales

At the risk of becoming tiresome to my readers, I have to post one more time about mushrooms.
Those out by Ruby the cow's field have grown massive. There is one that looks like it jumped out of a fairy tale, like elves might peek out from behind its stem if you look carefully, as if a tiny door might open and a little fairy come out to sweep her porch, as if a caterpillar might lounge on top smoking his hookah.
Here you can see how huge it is in relation to my son's hand.
And here is a new one that popped up.
What is it about that one spot that mushrooms like it so? There's a whole field but the mushrooms all grow in one little spot. There is only one mushroom in my whole yard. Also, it's interesting that Ruby doesn't eat them, as if she knows better.

OMG!!! i totally agree with
Ernie... that mushroom is bueatiful!!

the old story is that the shamans in northern Eruope wuold eat the Amanitas and trip. Teh poeple of the tribe drank the shaman piss and got high too. Symbolically a variation on the last supper mass LOL... ... teh god or shaman says eat this my body drink my blood, in this case its pee. My brother and i ate some amanitas when we were kids, no pee drinking though LOL... and Suzy ssaw the sunrise at midnite looking west over Kings peak... Suzy was peaking, believe me --it wasnt tiresome ... LOL and but back to in the old days --the myth that goes along with the mind expansion was taht the amanita is the god, who wears a red hat with white spot or spots on it and flys thruogh the sky on a raindeer. the sliegh was added later... When the mushrooms just come up they are small with maybe only one white dot... which is when theyre most powerful...! thats why santas hat is pointy and has just one dot instaed of many... its a little mushroom just sprouted... and the raindeer in siberia eat the amanitas that grow under the fir trees --and fly :) Presents under the tree, also down the chimney comes into it from their archetexture.. etc.... ie its the old myth that has become our santa cluas story check it out

and have a merry one,

So Indie, Maybe you can get Suzy Blah Blah to write for your paper. It would be a guaranteed overnight success.

Read Suzie’s link. It explains a whole new meaning to the term “Getting Pissed”.

Ernie, you're right about the type of mushroom that is, beautiful but deadly.

Suzy, I just don't know what to say. Some things just don't seem to translate from one culture to another, do they?

Kristen, thanks for your kind words, as always. So many things pass by me in a day that make me think, "I should blog about that." But there isn't always time, and I can't always hold onto the inspiration until I get a free moment.

Happy holidays, everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

That photo is really well done. You took it from the perfect angle!

And I know what you mean about lots of things to blog about but not holding onto the inspiration long enough to get the words on the screen.

Suzy knows what two say and she can trance late :)

so and it translates to Unity/Oneness/Wholeness... thats the meaning of both the modern and the anicient version of the myth.

the tree represents consciuosness and the star on top represents higher consiousness... but if yuo put a red bow there cuz theres no room for the standard form of higher consciousness that means you will be tying the knot within a year... LOL

no but really the bow is a spontaniious cymbol that is like the star -- with its light streaming down -- like ribbons coming down and like the red Santa his gifts coming down from teh heavens --from the center of the Univearse --the stillpoint within --the north pole ...these all symbols crashing --gifts falling --all of the stars in the sky fall together at once forever ina spontanious jesture of high LOL er, consciousness. Tahts where good jazz comes from --bop!

but wikipedia says it comes from New Olreans hmmm Suzy will have to look into this trancing late stuff fruther :)

ill let yuo know if i find anything hidden in the potatos or ricepudding...

good luck on yr fishing trip,

hanging a sock,

Suzy, thanks for the good wishes and for the interpretation of all the Christmas myths. I'm glad the bow at the top of the tree isn't going to wreck my chances for happiness next year, like my life's going to get all tangled or something. What happens if there's an angel up there?
